Fives, an industrial engineering group in France, has successfully commissioned a new 4Hi cold rolling mill at Compañía Valenciana de Aluminio Baux in Segorbe, Spain, a company within the Jupiter Aluminium Group specializing in painted aluminum coils for the window shutter and sun protection industry.

The new mill, which produced its first coil on October 1, 2025, has an annual capacity of 60,000 tons, substantially increasing the plant’s overall output. This expansion addresses the growing demand for raw materials and secures supply for Baux’s downstream facilities.

The new mill is designed for high efficiency, capable of rolling strips up to 600 meters per minute and achieving thicknesses from 6 mm to 0.15 mm. It features automatic gauge and flatness control systems for premium quality and side-shifting cars that cut roll-changing time to under five minutes.
