The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Colombia issued a preliminary anti-dumping (AD) determination on annealed and galvanized low-carbon alloy and non-alloy steel wire imports from China.

Announced via the official gazette, the ruling enforces temporary ad valorem duties calculated on a free-on-board (FOB) basis. These emergency measures became effective immediately upon publication and will remain in place for a four-month duration.

The provisional tax rates vary across specific product categories. Low-carbon steel, alloy, and non-alloy annealed wire under customs codes 7217.10.00.00 and 7229.90.00.00 face a 29.02%duty per net ton. Meanwhile, low-carbon steel, alloy, and non-alloy galvanized wire under tariff codes 7217.20.00.00 and 7229.90.00.00 incur a 98.04% duty per net ton.

Colombia initially launched this trade investigation on February 11, 2026.
