Canada starts AD & CVD probes on China’s forged grinding media

14 Jan 2026 13:35 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has launched investigations of anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on forged grinding media originating in China, following a complaint filed by Moly-Cop Canada.

The product involved is forged or stamped forged grinding media in spherical or ovoid shape (ball), with a nominal diameter between 25 mm (1 inch) and 160 mm (6.25 inches), classified under HS code 7326.11.00.00.

The CBSA will make a preliminary decision within 90 days. If the agency finds evidence of dumping or subsidies that harm domestic producers, it will likely impose provisional duties on these imports.
