A nocturnal ballistic missile strike launched by invading forces hit the Kamet Steel facility in Kamianske, causing five fatalities and four injuries among workers. The attack severely damaged sintering, blast furnace, energy, and transport infrastructure, forcing an immediate halt to all manufacturing processes.

Metinvest Group Chief Operating Officer Oleksandr Myronenko confirmed that the site housed no military targets, producing pig iron exclusively for civilian applications.

Emergency rescue operations and debris clearance are currently underway to inspect damaged equipment and evaluate the full extent of destruction, though a timeline for resuming operations is still undetermined.
