Baker Hughes: US & Canada’s rig counts fall w-o-w

According to the report from Baker Hughes, in the week ending on November 26, 2025, the US rig count fell by ten to 544 units compared to the previous week. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas rose by three to 130 units, and that for oil dropped by 12 to 407 units. The total number had a year-on-year decline of 38 units.

During the same period, Canada’s rig count decreased by seven to 188 units from the previous week, including 121 oil rigs (down by seven week on week) and 67 gas rigs (keeping flat week on week). Canada’s rig number dropped by 17 units compared to the same period a year ago.
