Australia recommends extending AD duties on rebar from South Korea, Spain

8 Aug 2025 15:57 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
On August 6, 2025, Australia's Anti-Dumping Commission recommended extending anti-dumping (AD) duties on steel reinforcing bar (rebar) from South Korea and Spain for another five years, after concluding a review initiated on September 9, 2024, based on an application filed by InfraBuild.

The commission's report, due to the Minister for Industry and Innovation and Minister for Science by October 9, 2025, states that ending the duties would likely cause a continuation or a recurrence of dumping and material injury to the domestic industry.

The proposed duty rate for South Korea ranges from 2.3% to 12.0%, and that for Spain is from 12.4% to 15.0%.

If the minister accepts this proposed recommendation, the duties will continue until November 19, 2030.
