Australia launches AD & CVD sunset reviews on hollow structural sections from 4 nations

Responding to requests from domestic manufacturers Austube Mills Pty Ltd and Orrcon Manufacturing Pty Ltd, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission initiated a third anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on hollow structural section imports originating in Taiwan, Malaysia, South Korea, and China, with South Korean Kukje Steel Co Ltd and Hi-Steel Co Ltd exempted. The review also covers countervailing duty (CVD) exclusively for Chinese goods.

The investigation period spans from April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026 across HS codes 7306.30.00.31, 7306.30.00.32, 7306.30.00.33, 7306.30.00.34, 7306.30.00.35, 7306.30.00.36, 7306.30.00.37, 7306.50.00.45, 7306.61.00.21, 7306.61.00.22, 7306.61.00.25, 7306.61.00.90, 7306.69.00.10, and 7308.90.00.65.

A deadline of September 9, 2026 is set for interested parties to submit questionnaires. The authority plans to release the statement of essential facts (SEF) by November 23, 2026 and present the final recommendation to the federal minister by January 5, 2027.
