The Anti-Dumping Commission of Australia issued Notice No. 2026/102 on August 26, 2026, terminating countervailing duty (CVD) investigations into Chinese flat-rolled steel producers Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and Hunan Valin Lianyuan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. due to de minimis subsidy levels.

In the same ruling, the authority terminated anti-dumping (AD) inquiries regarding South Korean exporter POSCO after finding no dumping practices.

The investigations involve steel products classified under Australian customs codes 7208.40.00.39, 7208.51.00.40, 7208.52.00.41, 7208.90.00.30, 7225.40.00.22, and 7225.40.00.24.

Ongoing AD and CVD proceedings continue for remaining Chinese merchandise, alongside continuing AD investigations for South Korean shipments.
