Australia has implemented definitive anti-dumping (AD) duties on hot-rolled deformed steel reinforcing bar in lengths (rebar) from Turkey, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand.

According to the ruling, Turkish exporters face the highest duties, ranging from 7.1% to 36.4%, and Malaysian shipments will be subject to rates between 9.2% and 26.2%. Vietnamese imports are taxed at 9.6% to 17.3%, and Thai products receive the lowest range of 2.1% to 6.7%.

The initial investigation was launched based on a petition by InfraBuild Australia Pty Ltd.

The subject goods are hot-rolled deformed steel reinforcing bars with diameters up to 50 mm, featuring surface indentations or ribs from the rolling process. This definition excludes coiled steel, plain round bars, stainless steel, and reinforcing mesh.

The affected products are under HS codes 7214.20.00.47, 7228.30.10.70, 7228.30.90.40, and 7228.60.10.72.
