The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission extended the timeline for its inquiry into hollow structural sections. This investigation examines anti-dumping (AD) circumvention involving exports from Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, and China, as well as a countervailing duty (CVD) circumvention probe specifically for Chinese goods. Applicant Orrcon Manufacturing Pty Ltd claimed exporters used slight product modifications to circumvent existing duties.

The Statement of Essential Facts (SEF) is now scheduled to be issued by March 23, 2026. The Commission expects to submit final recommendations to the Minister for Industry and Science by May 7, 2026.

This inquiry covers products under customs codes 7308.90.00.52, 7308.90.00.56, and 7308.90.00.65, reviewing trade data from July 1, 2012, to June 30, 2025.
