Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Luxembourg, raised the alloy surcharge for its European austenitic stainless steel flat products for June.
The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was hiked to EUR 2,365/ton from May’s EUR 2,243/ton; that for 316L (1.4404) was increased to EUR 4,056/ton from EUR 3,813/ton in the previous month; that of 309S (1.4833), used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was EUR 3,192/ton, compared to EUR 3,020/ton in March; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 (1.4512) was decreased to EUR 917/ton from the previous month’s EUR 921/ton.
The new surcharge will be applicable on June 1, 2026.
