US decides to continue AD & CVD orders on corrosion-resistant steel products from some countries

According to a notice by the US International Trade Administration (ITA) on August 17, 2022, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) and the US ITA determined in their sunset reviews that the withdrawal of the anti-dumping (AD) duty orders on corrosion-resistant steel products from India, Italy, China, South Korea, and Taiwan and countervailing duty (CVD) orders on same products from India, Italy, China, and South Korea would likely lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping and net countervailable subsidies, as well as material injury to the US industry. Therefore, both the AD and CVD orders will be extended for another five years.

The weighted-average dumping margin rate for India, Italy, China, South Korea, and Taiwan was set up to 4.43%, 92.12%, 209.97%, 47.80%, and 10.34%, respectively. The CVD rate for India, Italy, China, and South Korea was up to 29.49%, 38.51%, 241.07%, and 1.19%, respectively.
