Canada terminates AD & CVD investigations on corrosion‑resistant steel sheets from 3 countries

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) ruled on October 16, 2020 that it decided to terminate the anti-dumping (AD) investigation on certain corrosion‑resistant steel sheets from Turkey’s Borçelik Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş (Borçelik) and the UAE’s Al Ghurair Iron & Steel LLC (AGIS) since they had no dumping margins.
In addition, the CBSA also ended the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation on the same products from Turkey’s Borçelik, Atakaş Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş (Atakaş), and Tatmetal Çelik Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Tatmetal), as well as all exporters from the UAE and Vietnam, due to no subsidies or insignificant subsidy amounts.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) is continuing to investigate the injury on the domestic industries and scheduled to issue a ruling by November 16, 2020.
The products involved are under HS codes 7210.30.00.00, 7210.49.00.10, 7210.49.00.20, 7210.49.00.30, 7210.61.00.00, 7210.69.00.10, 7210.69.00.20, 7212.20.00.00, 7212.30.00.00, 7212.50.00.00, 7225.91.00.00, 7225.92.00.00, and 7226.99.00.10.
