HOROC & PT Billy Int'l sign MoU to built nickel smelting plant in Indonesia

China’s HOROC Nonferrous Metals Group CO., LTD (HOROC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Billy Indonesia to build a nickel smelting production in at Sulawesi province of Southeast Indonesia with total investment of US$ 6 billion.

According to MoU, the nickel output will be partly supplied to domestic need and will be exported to China.

The first phase of the project has started and is expected to operate in 2012 with the capacity of 100,000 tpy.

HOROC is the largest nonferrous metal enterprise in Jilin Province with total assets of RMB 15.6 billion and 12,000 employees. It has more than 40 main products including nickel matte, nickel sulfate, nickel hydroxide, nickel fluoride, nickel chloride, electrolytic nickel, industrial sulfate, copper concentrate, molybdenum concentrate, gold concentrate, silver concentrate and so on.
