JSW Steel announces Rs 60,000 crore investment in green Steel plant

JSW Steel, India’s leading steel producer, has unveiled plans to invest Rs 50,000-60,000 crore in a 10 million tonnes per annum green steel plant in Salav, Maharashtra. The project is scheduled to be completed within three to four years. 

The project aims to align with global decarbonization efforts and meet rising demand for sustainable steel, particularly in European markets facing strict carbon regulations.
