Ghana Bauxite Company has announced its goal to achieve six million tons of bauxite production by the end of 2025, following a US$122.97 million investment in infrastructure and operational upgrades after the company was taken over by Ofori Poku Company Limited.

The investment has been used to acquire new equipment, including surface miners, haulage and dump trucks, excavators, and to retool existing machinery.

The company has also announced its plan to establish a bauxite refinery in the country, which would create more job opportunities within the mining area.
