Putzmeister partnerships with SSAB’s green steel for its equipment manufacture

Putzmeister, a global construction equipment manufacturer, already utilizes SSAB’s Strenx® and Hardox® steel to create strong and lightweight machines that enhance performance while reducing emissions.

Now, the companies are taking the next step forward by incorporating SSAB’s HYBRIT® technology, which replaces traditional steelmaking methods with fossil-free electricity and green hydrogen. This process significantly cuts CO2 emissions,

SSAB’s HYBRIT® technology, developed in collaboration with mining company LKAB and energy company Vattenfall, replaces coking coal with green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity in steel production.
