US’ plate in coil exports drop in Nov m-o-m but show yearly growth

According to data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of plates in coil reached about 30,000 metric tons in November, marking a 17.8% decline from the previous month but a 5.5% increase compared to the same period last year. The export value for November stood at US$29.6 million, down from $35.1 million in October but slightly higher than the $28.4 million recorded in November of the previous year.

 

Mexico remained the primary destination for these exports, receiving about 21,000 metric tons in November, a drop from nearly 27,000 metric tons in October but higher than the 19,000 metric tons shipped in November 2023. Canada was the second-largest importer, receiving 8,400 metric tons. No other destinations exceeded 1,000 metric tons for November exports.
