USSA: Russia's stainless steel consumption increases in Jan-Sep y-o-y

According to statistics from the Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (USSA), Russia's stainless steel consumption totaled around 492,000 tons in the first nine months of this year, increasing by 24.1% compared to the same period a year ago.

Among them, the consumption of wire rods increased the most, with a hike of nearly 95%, followed by seamless pipes’ 87.8%.

During the same period, Russia’s stainless steel imports increased to 368,000 tons, up by 28% year on year. Stainless steel output hiked by 28.4% year on year to 218,000 tons.
