China’s exports of stainless steel flat products surge by 41.5% m-o-m in March
According to statistics released by the Chinese customs, China exported 148,988 tons of stainless steel flat products in March, rising substantially by 41.5% in comparison of 105,276 tons in February.
In March, China’s shipments of stainless steel flat products to Taiwan soared by 22.2% to 49,166 tons and that to South Korea increased significantly by 49.8% to reach 23,928 tons, both compared to that in February.
In the first quarter of this year, China shipped 333,334 tons of stainless steel flat products, falling by 16.9% from 401,230 tons in the same period of a year ago.
Meanwhile, the country’s imports of stainless steel flat products decreased by 34.6% year on year to 50,185 tons in March. In the first three months of this year, the imports totaled 145,182 tons, declining by 25.4% year on year.
