Nippon Steel Materials inks wire licensing deal with Heraeus Materials
It is reported that German base Heraeus Materials, a business group of Heraeus Holding involved in the processing worldwide of precious and platinum metals has inked a patent licensing agreement with Nippon Steel Materials Co, an advanced materials company in the Nippon Steel Group, and subsidiary Nippon Micrometal Corporation.
The agreement is aimed for a palladium coated bonding wire to be used for LSI packaging.
The operations are based on materials expertise gained from steelmaking, along with technologies for the design, analysis and evaluation of molecular structures.
