Taiwanese Quintain Steel keeps wire rod list prices flat for April
It’s reported that after China Steel Corp. (CSC) announced to remain its April list prices of electric furnace (EF) Al-killed wire rod unchanged, Quintain Steel, one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan decided to keep its April list prices flat on March 26th.
After the price announcement, the company’s April list prices of Al-killed wire rod are at NT$26,500/ton; that of rimmed wire rod is at NT$25,500/ton and that of killed wire rod is at NT$24,500/ton.
Industry sources indicated that Quintain Steel’s flat price policy for April delivery met the market participants’ forecasts.
Since the current market demand has remained weak, the company’s flat price policy will help the downstream screw makers to receive better orders from foreign markets.
Meanwhile, the company has remained its list prices unchanged for consecutive three months.
