Japan’s January HR stainless steel output rises by 10.9% m-o-m
According to statistics, Japan produced 217,805 tons of hot rolled (HR) stainless steel products in January, rising by 10.9% from a month earlier while decreasing by 19.4% in comparison of 244,193 tons in last January.
Among them, the output of chrome-base products totaled 105,471 tons, surging by 24.4% and that of nickel-base products was 112,334 tons, up by 0.6%, both compared to that in a month earlier.
In the end of January, Japan’s inventory of stainless steel products amounted to 125,286 tons, increasing by 2.1% month on month.
