Steel plate prices rise by US$20~US$30/ton in Southeast Asia
It’s reported that prices of general use SS400 steel plates for Southeast Asia increased by US$20~US$30/ton from a month earlier to around US$700/ton CNF for March delivery,
Also, the prices of steel plates for tanks and abrasion resistance usages also increased by US$20~US$30/ton.
In fact, Southeast Asia’s import prices of steel slabs have increased by US$20~US$30/ton before the price hike of steel plates.
For the prospect, it’s predicted that the steel prices might not rise further in Southeast Asia as the major steelmakers such as Baosteel and Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (Wisco) have remained their domestic prices of steel flat unchanged for March shipments.
