Taiwanese wooden screw makers’ selling prices drop substantially on price competiveness
It’s reported that Taiwanese export prices of wooden screws have dropped to US$2.42/kg due to weak demand, down by US$0.12/kg from the highest level of US$2.54/kg in the first half of this year.
Industry sources indicated that the sharp price dip of wooden screw was caused by the price competiveness.
It’s known that wooden screws are mainly used in wooden products. Screw manufacturers said that wooden screws mostly were made from low carbon steel and it was easy to produce. Thus, the market has been in fierce price competiveness.
