Ukrainian Metinvest posts 30.8% rise on net profits in 2010

Metinvest, Ukrainian steel and iron ore manufacturer recently announced its sales report in 2010, the company realized sales net profits of US$437 million, soared by 30.8% year on year and its EBITDA was US$2.552 billion, increased by 82.3%.

At the same time, the company’s sales margin was US$943 million, up by 56.1% year on year and its sales revenue was US$9.358 billion, hiked by 55.3% from a year earlier.

In addition, the company reported that its crude steel production in 2010 totaled 8.74 million tons, surged by 24.4% year on year; its outputs of coking coal and iron ore were 13 million tons and 35.73 million tons, increased by 3.7% and 16.6% respectively.

Furthermore, Metinvest planned to increase its crude steel production to reach 14.5 million ~ 15 million tons in 2011.
