Argentina’s crude steel output falls in July
|
According to statistics released by the Argentine Iron & Steel Institute, the country’s crude steel output totaled 344,000 tons in July, falling by 23.7% from a month earlier and decreasing by 29.9% year on year, the lowest level over the past twelve months.
In the first seven months of this year, Argentina’s crude steel output amounted to 3.08 million tons, down by 4% year on year.
In July, the country’s production of hot rolled steel products totaled 499,500 tons, increasing by 8.9% from a month earlier and up by 1.8% year on year, the highest level since this year.
Meanwhile, the country’s output of hot rolled steel flat products totaled 244,100 tons in July, rising by 3.8% and that of hot rolled steel long products was at 255,500 tons, soaring by 14.2%, both compared to that in the same period of a year earlier.
