Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to supply GTCC power generation equipment to Baosteel

Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries said on August 16th that the firm received orders of 2 sets of highly efficient gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) power generation equipment orders from Chinese steel giant Baosteel.
The equipment will be set in the steel plant and use the high temperature steam produced by the blast furnace to generate electricity as a fuel.
The two sets of GTCC power generation equipment is expected to have output power of 300,000 kilowatts and are planned to put into operation in August and September of 2014 respectively.
