Spot hard coking coal prices fall to two-year low level
|
It’s reported that the spot hard coking coal prices dropped to the two-year low level.
On August 13rd, the Australian Coking Coal (Platts) Low Vol Swap was at US$172/ton FO and the HCC 64 Mid Vol index was at US$149.5/ton FOB.
Industry sources predicted that the spot hard coking coal prices have bottomed out and they’ve seen the prospect outlook for coking coal market.
Meanwhile, it’s known that the Australian Coking Coal (Platts) Low Vol Swap had ever surged to the highest level of US$226.5/ton at the end of this June and the HCC 64 Mid Vol index had ever soared to the highest level of US$200.5/ton in this January.
