Posco to provide steel plates for maritime construction in North Sea
|
South Korean steel giant Posco said that the firm will supply enhanced quality maritime structural steel plate to SamKang M&T for construction of mixed maritime structures for oil drilling in North Sea.
It’s known that the South Korean steel giant has aimed to expand 10% market share in the world’s steel plate material market for energy sectors by 2020.
Also, Posco was the first company to develop a mass production system to produce advanced high strength steel (AHSS) with 490MPa class tensile strength, used in automobile outer panels.
