Mukand Limited, Sumitomo Corp. to build JV in India

India based stainless steel manufacturer Mukand Limited and Japan based Sumitomo Corp. reached an agreement to build a joint venture in Lonand, Satara District, Maharashtra State, India.
It’s learned that the new joint venture company will mainly run the secondary processing of specialty steel long products, in order to meet the increasing demand.
The new joint venture company will substitute Mukand’s current business for secondary processing of specialty steel long products.
Meanwhile, the monthly production capacity of the new joint venture is expected to reach 6,000 tons.
