Quintain Steel posts operating loss for July
|
Quintain Steel, one of the major wire products makers in Taiwan posted operating loss of NT$50 million for July, worse than the loss of NT$13 million in June.
However, Quintain Steel’s total operating loss in July was at NT$37 million as the firm received more than NT$10 million of profits from its hotel business.
Quintain Steel point out that the operating loss in July was caused by the fact that its input costs surged by NT$2,000/ton and its received order volumes were under the expected.
For the prospect, Quintain Steel said that its received order volumes have improved slightly in August; however, its salve revenues might remain flat as its sales prices stayed at the same level as August.
