US mills increase wire rod prices for September
|
Driven by soaring price on scrap, the American-based companies, including Nucor, Gerdau Long Steel North America have increased their wire rod prices by US$80/short ton respectively for September. Also, Keystone boosted its price by US$70/short ton.
However, the steel traders point out that the level of soaring price on wire rod this time by Nucor is too sharp.
Before that, Nucor just increased its rebar, H-beam prices by US$30~US$50/short ton.
