Taiwan’s scrap consumption rise by 5.6% y-o-y in 2011

According to statistics, Taiwan’s scrap consumption totaled 11.74 million tons in 2011, rising by 5.6% year on year.
In 2011, Taiwan’s scrap purchase volumes totaled 11.21 million tons, down by 1% year on year.
Among them, 5.90 million ton were from China, falling by 0.9% and 5.34 million tons were from overseas markets, decreasing by 1%, both compared to that in the same period of a year earlier.
In the given period of time, Taiwan’s crude steel output totaled 20.18 million tons.
