Taiwanese screw makers urge CSC to cut steel wire and bar prices
|
Reportedly, China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest steelmaker in Taiwan held a meeting with the screw makers to discuss the prices for steel wire and bar for October and November on August 14th.
It’s said that the Taiwanese screw makers have urged CSC to cut the prices of steel wire and bar for October and November since the screw makers’ received order volumes from overseas market have continued falling.
In fact, CSC just reduced its list prices of steel wire and bar by NT$1,300/ton for September. However, the Taiwanese screw makers still received less and less orders from overseas market.
CSC said that it will consider the difficulties that the downstream screw makers faced and the current market situation to adjust its prices.
