Japan’s June HR stainless output up by 2.2% m-o-m

According to data, Japan’s production of hot rolled (HR) stainless steel products totaled 248,087 tons in June, rising by 2.2% from a month earlier.
Among them, 121,507 tons were chrome-based stainless steel products, increasing by 8.2%; 99,173 tons were nickel-based stainless steel, falling by 3%, both compared to that in a month earlier.
Meanwhile, the country’s production of specialty steel products totaled 7,245 tons in June, declining by 2.5% month on month.
