US scrap suppliers try to raise export prices

It’s reported that the US scrap export quoted have stayed firm recently.
Since this August, the domestic prices of scrap have surged by US$80/long ton in Midwestern America and it has soared by US$30~US$50/long ton in Eastern America.
In the past two weeks, the US scrap exporters have tried to raise the export prices. However, the transaction volumes did not increase substantially.
Currently, the transaction prices of the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Turkey are at US$415/ton CFR, rising by US$25~US$25/ton from that in two week earlier.
Also, the current transaction prices of the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan are at US$390~US$395/ton CFR, increasing by US$10/ton from a week ago.
