Nickel Asia’s Q2 net incomes fall substantially
|
Philippine Nickel Asia said that its net incomes in the first half of this year amounted to PHP1.27 billion, falling substantially by 26% year on year, due to lower nickel prices.
However, the mining firm’s nickel shipments rose by 19%.
In the first half of this year, Nickel Asia’s nickel production totaled 5.02 million tons, rising by 19% in comparison of that in the same period of a year earlier.
In the given period of time, the company’s nickel average prices were at US$8.6/lb., lower than US$11.48/lb. in the same period of a year ago.
