Japanese steel bodies invest steel tube manufacturing & sale JV in Mexico

Reportedly, the Japanese steel bodies led by Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metals have jointly established a producing & sales center in Mexico for making middle and high grades steel pipes for automobile.
As Mexico is becoming a fast growing automobile producing country, the demand for steel pipes and tubes from automobile industry are expected to grow fast.
The new company is expected to start production in June 2013.
The joint venture named Nippon Steel Pipe México SA DE CV, invested by Nippon Steel Corporation, Sumitomo Pipe & Tube Co Limited, Sumitomo Corporation and Metal One Corporation.
