Mexican AHMSA’s Q2 net profits drop substantially
|
Altos Hornos de México, S.A.B. de C.V. (AHMSA), the second largest steelmaker in Mexico announced that its net profits in the second quarter of this year amounted to MXN80 million, falling substantially from MXN885 million in the same period of a year earlier, due to lower production in the given period of time.
In the second quarter of this year, AHMSA’s operating profits were at MXN252.6 million, falling from MXN 1.33 billion in the second quarter of 2011.
However, its’ sales income increased by 2.6% year on year to reach MXN10.33 billion.
