Japan’s Q3 crude steel output to break 28 million tons
|
The Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) predicted that the country’s crude steel output in the third quarter would be at 28.10 million tons, rising by 2.2% from a quarter ago.
METI said that the demand for steel products from automobile and construction industries would remain strong.
Also, it indicated the Japanese electric furnace (EF) steel mills have enhanced the output this summer due to strong demand from construction sectors.
