US’s crude steel output rise slightly
|
According to statistics released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), the US produced 1.846 million short tons of crude steel in the week ended on July 28th, up by 0.5% from 1.837 million short tons in a week earlier.
Also0, the figures rose by 0.7% in comparison of 1.834 million short tons in the same period of a year earlier.
In the given period of time, the capacity utilization rate of the US steelmaking facilities was at 74.7%, higher than 74.3% in a week earlier.
