AK Steel raises steel sheet prices further
|
It’s reported that Ohio-based AK Steel announced to raise the spot market base prices for its carbon flat rolled steel products further by US$40/short ton on its last Friday, driven by rising scrap prices.
Industry sources said that AK Steel’s price rise has boosted the steel sheet prices to increase in the US domestic market.
Meanwhile, the new prices will become effective immediately.
