French Vallourec posts Q2 sales report
|
Vallourec, a France-based steel pipe and tube producers posted its sales report for the second quarter of this year.
It’s second quarter sales in the North America dropped by 7% from a quarter earlier due to lower sales of drill pipe and non-oil country tubular good (OCTG). However, the sales in the region surged by 13% year on year in the first half of this year, driven by strong demand from oil and gas sectors.
Meanwhile, its sales in the South America in the second quarter surged by 25% on higher sales volumes of premium pipes sold to oil and gas industry. In the first six months of 2012, its sales increased by 16% year on year.
For the prospect, Vallourec expected that its sales would continue to benefit from strong demand from oil and gas industry.
