Russian NLMK’s Q2 crudes steel output rises by 5.7% q-o-q

Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK), one of the major steelmakers in Russia operated the capacity utilization rate of 96% to produce 3.84 million tons of crude steel in the second quarter of this year, rising by 5.7% in comparison of 3.64 million tons in a quarter earlier.
It’s known that its Lipetsk works operated the capacity utilization rate at 99% in the second quarter of this year and the crude steel output rose by 6% from a quarter ago to reach 3.13 million tons.
NLMK said that its production of steel flat products totaled 2.34 million tons in the second quarter of this year, falling by 1.3% quarter on quarter while increasing by 9.3% year on year.
Meanwhile, the firm expected to remain its crude steel output stable in the third quarter in spite of the falling steel prices in the second quarter.
