Taiwan’s scrap import prices continue rising this week
|
Reportedly, the international scrap market has been rebounding gradually since July after touching the bottom in end of June.
It’s known that the South Korean steel mills’ current purchase prices of the Japanese H2 scraps have surged to¥27,000/ton FOB. Also, Indonesian buyers’ purchase prices of the US shredded scraps have soared to US$417/ton C&F recently.
Traders predicted that the quotes of the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan would rise to US$385~US$390/ton C&F this week, driven by increasing price trend in international market.
