CIS’s billet export prices continue falling on weak demand
Recently, the CIS’s billet export prices have continued falling due to more competitive offers from European suppliers and sluggish demand.

At present, the CIS’s billet mainstream export quotes have fallen to US$545~US$555/ton FOB from US$555~US$560/ton FOB.

Traders indicated that the CIS’s current billet export prices to Turkey are at US$560/ton CFR; however, the sources offered by the European suppliers are at US$550/ton CFR.

For the prospect, it’s predicted that the market demand for billets might drop further by the coming of Ramadan in Middle East.
