Indian Sesa Goa to close two plants on iron ore shortage
|
Sesa Goa, the largest producer and exporter of iron ore in India planned to shut down its pig iron plant and metallurgical coke plant in the village of Amona in Bicholim Taluka because of iron ore shortage, caused by stopped transactions from its own Codli mines in South Goa during monsoon season.
It’s known that the closures of the two plants will affect the power supply in the state because the state government purchases 14-16 MW power from Sesa Goa’s power plants.
