Alufer plans to invest US$400 million to develop Guinean bauxite

Alufer Mining Limited (Alufer), a mining company which develops independent bauxite projects in Guinea planned to invest US$400 million to develop the Bel Air baucie project in Boffa of Guinea.
According to the documents submitted to the ministry of Mines, Alufer has invested US$22 million so far in the project.
Alufer owns the mining exploration license in Boffa, Labe and Kindia of Guinea, where the total potential reserves of aluminum ore reaches more than 3 billion tons.
The company completed a prefeasibility study to Bel Air by the end of 2011 and it planned to establish a mine with an annual output of 10 million tons.
