US steel mills insist on price rise for steel sheets
|
It’s reported that the US steel mills insisted on price rise of US$40/short ton for steel sheets.
However, buyers are unwilling to purchase with the price more than US$600/ton short ton at this moment as the scrap prices are falling and the demand in summer remains weak.
Therefore, both sides have reached an impasse during the price negotiation.
At present, the mainstream quotes of hot rolled coils in the US market have surged by US$10/short ton.
